Part of TEAM Education Trust

Sports Premium

The Government has committed to providing additional funding to enable primary schools to improve the provision of physical education and sport as a method for whole school improvement. The funding is being jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport and will see money going directly to schools.

This funding will be ring-fenced and, therefore, can only be spent on provision for P.E. and sports. Schools will be held accountable for how they use the funding to support pupils' progress and participation in P.E. and school sport. They are required to publish information for parents on-line about spending and will be expected to provide details to Ofsted inspectors on request.

Our rationale for the use of Sports Premium funding is that it should be used so that:
'All children benefit regardless of sporting ability'
